Stand Alone Response- this rubric is used when the student writes a response to one text or piece of literature.

Synthesis Response- this rubric is used when the students writes a response according to two or more pieces of literature. Here are the provincial exam instructions for this task:

Original Composition- this rubric is used when students write something creative and/or original. This rubric is not used for response writing. Here are the provincial exam instructions for this task:

Social Responsibility and Class Participation– this rubric is used to measure student involvement, engagement and contribution. It is applied holistically.

Discussion Rubric- this rubric is used to assess depth of discussion and/or presentation.

Presentation Rubric- This rubric is used to measure student presentations.
